Imperial® PolarShield™ Premium Hi-Performance Charging Hose

March 2005 - Imperial’s PolarShield Premium Hi-Performance Charging Hoses are UL recognized and meet UL, SAE and EPA requirements for strength, pressure and refrigerant permeation.  The new 950 Series multi-refrigerant charging and evacuation hoses feature low-loss ball shut-off valves and durable high-pressure barrier construction.  In addition to the 950 Series, PolarShield is available in the 900 and 800 Series.  All PolarShield hoses feature 800 PSI working pressure and 4,000 PSI burst pressure with a 5-to-1 safety factor—a rare combination in today’s market.

Made with rugged multi-refrigerant nylon barrier construction, PolarShield hoses are compatible with all CFC, HCFC and HFC refrigerants (R-410A, R-404A, R-407C and R-134a). They feature eight-sided leak-proof crimps, unlike most competitor hoses that only offer six.  The 900 Series hoses have a precision-engineered automatic shut-off valve, which traps refrigerant within the hose to eliminate venting and finger burns.

PolarShield hoses are available with a variety of end connections in yellow, red or blue colors, individually or in sets of three.            

ImperialProduction Flaring (37° and 45°) and Swaging Tool

Imperial’s 555-FS Production Flaring and Swaging Tool flares and swages six sizes of soft copper, aluminum or brass tubing. The tool is designed for 3/16-in., 1/4-in., 5/16-in., 3/8-in., 1/2-in. and 5/8-in. outside diameter tubing and sizes can be changed quickly.

In addition to swaging, the tool can make 37° and 45° single flares. The Imperial 555-FS Flaring and Swaging Tool contains fast cam lever operation and its unique jaws provide a positive non-slip grip on tubing. In addition, the tool has a built-in gauge for accurate flare size or swage depth and is portable or bench mountable.
