CamLock™ Convertible Retaining Ring Pliers
Quick-Change Artist: Specially designed and patented CamLock™
action lets technicians easily and quickly configure pliers for
internal or external retaining ring applications
NILES, IL (July 15, 2003) – Imperial’s legacy of innovation continues with the introduction of its category-defining Imperial CamLock Convertible Retaining Ring Pliers for the HVAC, automotive, general industrial and DIY markets. This newest Imperial product now appears for sale as a six-piece kit in a variety of tool catalogs and on the shelves of major North American retailers.
Imperial CamLock Convertible Retaining Ring Pliers relieve workers of the tiresome and thumb-numbing task of dismantling and reassembling a pair of pliers for projects involving both internal and external ring applications. Adjusting the new Imperial CamLock Convertible Retaining Ring Pliers for an internal or external ring application is simple and takes just seconds: Push a button and rotate a knob to change the action of the pivot point.
Imperial CamLock Convertible Retaining Ring Pliers will handle internal and external rings measuring from 1/8th-inch to 2 inches in diameter.
The built-to-last qualities of the U.S.-made pliers include a hardened steel construction and black-oxide finish that resists rust and corrosion. Additional features and benefits are a return-spring action that speeds the pace of work; longer six-inch and seven-inch handles for greater leverage and comfort; and sealed air cushion grips for enhanced comfort and feel in the hand.
Each six-piece kit contains three popular, precision-ground tip diameters (0.038 inches, 0.047 inches, and 0.070 inches) and angled tips of 18 and 90 degrees. The kits come in a custom-molded, impact-resistant storage case.
